Living with a chronic illness is hard. We get it. That’s why The Bravery Project came along to make that battle a little easier. Rooted in advocacy and a splash of positivity, the aim is to empower and inspire anyone and everyone living with a chronic illness.
Don’t know what that means? Well here is your chance to learn!
A chronic illness is a health condition that is persistent over time, meaning they usually don’t go away. Unlike the flu, an acute illness, which can get better with rest and medicine, most chronic conditions have lasting impacts.
Why is it important to remain positive, you ask? Well, that’s a good question!
Long-term health conditions come with plenty of downsides, and it is all too easy to get caught up in patterns of negative thinking. This leads to things like lower self-efficacy, higher stress levels, and a whole other host of not-so-great side effects. By focusing on the positive, we are sending a message that life goes on. A diagnosis should never stop you from achieving your dreams.
You are a force to be reckoned with. You are brave. And you have made it here, today, so welcome and thank you for taking the journey with us.
